Academic perspectives on open government in Latin America
Keywords:
open data, Latin America, government, informationSynopsis
This publication includes papers from Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Mexico and Peru, which, although they include national experiences, also refer to advances in Ibero-America and the Inter-American System. The different chapters have been divided into three main areas: i) focused strategies, ii) advances in information management, and iii) the role of academia in government openness. From this perspective, the aim is to contribute to one of the main challenges faced in Latin America in terms of open government/open state: the generation and valorization of empirical knowledge.
